provided on the "idea" sites is broadly applicable to many
types of design.
Design is one of the most constant and invisible issues that confronts
a society everyday. Advertisements are everywhere. Signs dictating where
to drive and when to stop are essential. Even the presentation of text
on a page is designed to convey a particular message.
Where does that leave us? Well, it is clear that our society is largely
unaware of the transparent issues that design brings about. But you
can change that by keeping your head about you, questioning the visual
information you are given, and by studying up on the forms of information
presented.
