The web design work that I have done was tentative at first. I was
hesitant because I didn't think that I could do that kind of thinking,
the kind where I memorize logical order of types of code and the overall
structure of a language. I guess I was wrong. I mean, it still takes
effort, don't get me wrong, but like anything else, the more I work
at it, the more I understand it.
Actually, I sort of forced myself in to it. I made the fortunate mistake
of biting off more than I could chew during my proposal for my senior
thesis. At the time I had such minimal HTML experience that my advisor
(had he known better) shouldn't have looked twice before tossing the
proposal in the trash and lighting it on fire. But he didn't know better.
So I learned HTML and some Javascript and put my thesis online during
last spring. It was a labor of love.
